HINTS ABOUT CARPET SERGING, BINDING AND CUTTING MACHINES
Carpet sergers are available in right and left handed models.
They are designed to cut and overcast the edge of the carpet to
prevent fraying. They are available with or without pullers.
Carpet binders are made to sew a long tape on the edge of the carpet. This may be accomplished with a zig-zag double lock stitch or a lock stitch. The machine may be a portable or a table model. Most binders have single or double pullers.
Carpet cutters are made to cut carpet either on the floor or as smaller single hand-held portables for the job site.
Carpet carvers may be either electric powered or air driven. They are used to bevel or to carve highlights in carpets. They are a useful tool for creative work.
Carpet bevelers and shearers are also available as well as a variety of other specialized carpet equipment.
